Given the shortage of products that were reported in stores throughout the country, the Government began to monitor food manufacturing companies, with the aim of closely observing the level of production and stock they have. In this way, they intend to elucidate when the supply chain was broken or if there is any speculation regarding the offer. Thus, companies received a detailed report with points they have to clarify and have five business days to present their explanations. The companies mainly cited two reasons for the supply problems: the conflict with carriers in recent weeks, as well as power outages that forced production to restart.
