Vehicle production in Argentina fell 25.1 percent last month compared with the level of February 2015, the industry’s Adefa trade association said Friday.
Even so, last month’s output of 34,174 vehicles represents a rise of 92.2 percent from January.
The Argentine auto industry produced 51,959 units in the first two months of the year, down 27.1 percent from the same period in 2015.
Argentina exported 14,178 vehicles last month, a year-on-year decline of 41.5 percent, though 264.7 percent better than January’s total, according to the Adefa report.
Car dealers in Argentina sold 52,593 units last month, a 19.3 percent increase over February 2015 and an advance of 5.3 percent from January.
