The government reached an agreement with the union and business sectors to raise the minimum wage by 35%. This was agreed at a meeting of the National Council for Employment, Productivity and the Minimum, Vital and Mobile Wage. The increase will also apply to unemployment benefit, and will take effect this month, with an increase of 9%, while the rest of the increases will be staggered over the next ten months. Currently, the minimum wage is ARS $ 21,600 and with the agreed increase it will reach ARS $ 29,160 in February 2022. The agreement, in any case, provides for a review between the parties in November 2021.
