Argentina registered a current account deficit of US $ 1.372 billion in the fourth quarter of 2020 and ended the year with a positive balance of US $ 2.985 billion, US $ 6.982 billion more than the result of 2019, according to the Institute National Statistics and Censuses (Indec). In addition, the financial account showed a favorable balance of US $ 549 million, but international reserves were reduced by US $ 2.809 billion. In the annual balance, goods ended with a positive balance of US $ 14.413 billion, from exports of US $ 54.778 billion and imports of US $ 40.336 billion, while the trade balance of services showed a red of US $ 2.367 billion.
