President Alberto Fernández announced a system to reduce employer contributions for the ten provinces that are part of the Norte Grande (Catamarca, Chaco, Corrientes, Formosa, Jujuy, La Rioja, Misiones, Salta, Santiago del Estero and Tucumán). The plan provides for the implementation of tax incentives in employer contributions paid by employers located in these provinces, in order to correct regional asymmetries. The proposal implies a gradual and temporary reduction of employer contributions for the new labor relations, over a period of three years, in certain economic sectors oriented to the production of goods. A requirement to access this benefit is that employers must produce increases in their payroll. While hiring a male worker will grant a reduction of 70% during the first year, 45% the second and 20% the third year; hiring a woman or a transvestite, transsexual or transgender will have a 80%, 55% and 30% reduction, respectively.
