The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec) reported the result of Argentine exports during 2020. Thus, in first place with 27.1% of total sales was the soybean complex (US $ 14.865 billion), despite having a 12.3% year-on-year drop. In second place was the corn complex, with 11.2% of the total (US $ 6.151 billion) and a growth of 2.1% compared to 2019. In third place, with 7.9% of sales was the sector automotive (US $ 4.309 billion) with a decrease of 39.5% compared to the previous year. The fourth and fifth place was occupied by the petroleum-petrochemical categories (US $ 3.660 billion), and bovine meat and leather (US $ 3.368 billion), with interannual falls of 27.9% and 16.5%, respectively. In the case of soybeans, the main export destinations were China, India, and Vietnam. Regarding corn, the main destinations were Vietnam, Egypt, and Algeria.
