The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec) reported that the commercial exchange in January had a surplus of US $ 1.068 billion, above the US $ 1.044 billion registered in January 2020. Export earnings (US $ 4.912 billion) increased 7.3% year-on-year, while imports (US $ 3.844 billion) grew 8.7%. In January, the main destinations for Argentine exports were: Brazil, India, China, the United States, Chile, Iran, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Netherlands, and Spain. For their part, the main countries of origin of imports were: China, Brazil, the United States, Germany, Mexico, Italy, Spain, Bolivia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
