Argentina’s industrial production fell by 6.9% year-on-year in July 2020 compared to July 2019, while construction activity fell by 12.9% in the same period. During the first half of the year (January-July), the industrial production fell by 13.4% year-on-year, while construction accumulated a drop of 34%. After the almost total quarantine closure in April and May, the months June and July 2020 showed a slight recovery. In July the industry showed a growth of 2.1%, while construction improved by 1.9%.
