Consumer prices increased by 1.9% in July 2020 and has risen 15.8% since January 2020, the INDEC national statistics bureau reported. Over the past 12 months, prices in Argentina have risen by 42.4%. The highest increases last month were registered in home equipment +3.9% and recreation and culture +3.3%. It is important to note that inflation has been tampered down by price controls put in place by Pres. Fernández in response to the pandemic.
