According to the official data released by the Congressional Budget Office (OPC), the govt.’s measures to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic represented a fiscal and financial expenditure of 5% of GDP. The released report (figures calculated up until 23 June 2020) stated expenses for measures to handle the COVID-19 crisis amounted to ARS 754,991 million (2.7% of GDP), financial facilities to deal with the economic fall-out stood at ARS 571,774 million (2.0% of GDP) and decrease in govt. resources amounted to ARS 88,734 million (0.3% of GDP).
